Jodi Anderson Jr.
Technology, education & reentry
Jodi Anderson Jr. builds technology that opens doors where conventional hiring systems too often close them.
About Jodi
Jodi is a cofounder of Rézme and Director of Technological Innovation at Cornell ILR’s Criminal Justice and Employment Initiative. He develops tools that help people affected by the justice system communicate their strengths, navigate employment, and overcome digital barriers during reentry. His work sits at the intersection of product design, research, and fair chance hiring.
An alumnus of Cornell’s Prison Education Program, Jodi went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and Development and a master’s degree in Education at Stanford University. He has also worked with the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, helping early stage entrepreneurs build digital solutions for underserved learning communities. His own experience trying to secure work after graduation shaped his understanding of how background checks can flatten a person’s story.
That insight helped drive Restorative Record, a Cornell ILR technology project that lets candidates present skills, education, community contributions, and evidence of growth alongside a criminal record. Jodi also co-founded Rézme to help job seekers navigate automated hiring systems and fair chance protections. His work has been profiled by Cornell’s student newspaper and discussed in a detailed interview with citybiz.
At PipeDreamers Foundation, Jodi translates that experience into technology education and access for young people who have too often been excluded from the digital economy. He approaches technology as a tool for restoring agency: designed with communities, grounded in real obstacles, and connected to concrete opportunities.
